Gain the confidence to sew your own clothes from a pattern with this basic dressmaking class. Over 4 weeks you'll learn how to read a pattern, choose fabrics, do minor alterations to fit the pattern to you, and create a simple garment.
8pm-9.30pm Thursday June 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th
Week 1- Looking at patterns, measurements, fabrics, notions. Choose a pattern, make a list of materials required.
Week 2- Pattern alterations, cutting out, how to read pattern instructions.
Week 3- Sewing your garment
Week 4- Finish sewing your garment, bindings, zips, buttonholes and more.
Pattern and all haberdashery are provided, you will need to provide appropriate fabric for the second week of class.
